Awesome as always...wonderful food

The service was really great. Our server Lauren was friendly and had a great sense of humor. The food is OUTSTANDING!!! Full of flavor and you definitely get your money's worth. The wife and I will most certainly go back!

One of the first restaurants we went to dinner at and was very pleased. They were busy and the service was good, food was delicious (we had lobster ravioli and rib eye steak) and the pricing reasonable. We even met the owner who took the time to stop by our table. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good Italian dining.

Love the Baked Ziti Pizza!!

Their motto is "Jersey gone south" and they ain't lying. The pizza is genuine Jersey. The zuppa di clams uses premium fresh clams and a wine sauce perfect for dipping. Can't wait to return to try something new.

Prices listed online are not prices in restaurant. Everything is at least $2 higher when you go. Owner was very rude about it and basically shoved “new” menu in my face and was not apologetic about wrong prices being advertised.

Authentic North Eastern pizza. My favorite restaurant for 'New York style' pizza, this restaurant also has an impressive selection of good Italian-American pastas. Definitely a must try restaurant if you are driving through Troutman.

I had initially left a 5 star review based on first impressions and how quickly my kids gobbled up the Itilaian dishes and kids menu items. We just ordered again but to try the Pizza... And I am so glad I did!!

First time eating here. Ate here with my parents, and it was amazing! Food was great! Staff is friendly. Establishment is beautiful and very clean. Will definitely recommend and return.

Best Italian restaurant in the area. Don't have to drive up to NYC for a fix of real pizza or cannoli. 👌

We would give it 6 out 5 stars if possible. Excellent Italian food that rivals those in the northeast. I grew up eating Italian food made by Italians in NJ, just like the owners/chefs here. They know what they are doing.

I have never been to this place, but I just wanna say whoever the owner is you are very appreciative towards your customers and also handle critism with no backlash against them. I also want to recognize that you have literally replied to every review on here which shows you are very dedicated, I'll definitely visit this place at somepoint.

Insanely over priced, and the good is far from authentic. Chicken wasn’t breaded on chicken parm pizza. And it was $40 for hardly any meat. I feel like I got robbed

Just picked up a personal pizza and as always top notch. Had to eat a piece not long after pulling away. Owners and staff are superb and very friendly.

The food was really good and the server was nice as could be. Everything seemed to be made on site. It was little things, like the bread was outstanding and somehow even the balsamic vinaigrette was better than say other places. I highly suggest visiting.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for awhile now and have never had a bad experience here . The food is superb for true authentic Italian food and I love the Eggplant Parmesan!! The restaurant can get pretty packed on the weekends but they always have a place for you up until 10:00 closing time . The owners and staff are always friendly and interact well with customers . This is my favorite Italian restaurant. Thanks for the great food and service !

Pellegrino's is an authentic Italian eatery with excellent food including the only place in NC that has eggplant parmesan pizza and a birthday canoli

Our meal was good. The servers were friendly. Took a little long for our bread to get to our table but arrived fresh and hot. A little more up scale in terms of price, but overall a good experience. Nice to have an Italian option in Troutman. Will be back!

The gnocchi is worth making the trip. Staff was kind and attentive. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and the menu selection is plentiful. Would definitely recommend.

Very pretty place that is much bigger and nicer that it appears from the parking lot. Our server was very friendly and my daughter's pasta with pesto dish was very good.

The food was very good. I have a stromboli which was excellent. My wife had the Pollo Pellegrino which was very good. Very pleased overall with the meal and service.

Wonderful service and excellent food! Wait staff is very accommodating and kind/friendly. Very romantic atmosphere with dim lighting in the back and soft music playing. Front of restaurant for more casual seating. Not an upscale restaurant but certainly feels like it. Abundant portions of food, except salad seemed small. Great hidden gem in the middle of Troutman!

Detroit style pizza is my favorite, but the subs, and deep dish are good too.

The atmosphere and food are amazing. The pricing is reasonable. My only complaint is that the service can be slow. Both times I've taken people to eat here, party of two and party of six, it took roughly 20 min to get orders taken. So, to sum it up. Go here if you want good Italian and have no where you need to go afterwards.

Special celebration for a party of 10. Our first time and was recommended by a friend. Food was excellent. Waiter tried and was friendly. Owner was one of the most rudest people I've ever met! The staff dropped the ball, owner didn't take 'ownership' for the situation. Result: He loses my potential repeat business, my friend's repeat business and any recommendations for his establishment. You need the full package to successfully run a business; and having common courtesy and common sense, and providing exceptional customer service are key. You may have been successful in New Jersey, but you're in the south now...customers expect and deserve great service. People skills are necessary. Thanks for ruining what would have been an otherwise great celebration!

Excellent lasagna; best locally. Very attentive waiter. We'll return with others and recommend your fine establishment. GOD bless your business and your families.

Poor service, calamari was over cooked, bruschetta was awful, appetizers were served way after they were ordered, dinner came out with appetizers still on the table, waiter asked if anything was finished, we didn't have hardly a chance to start the appetizers , all of our dishes were cold, waiter offered no compensation, very expensive, very bad experiences for our table. I have been to pelligrinos many times, brought many new costumers there, never again, we need another Italian restaurant in Troutman

I'm a big cheese steak fanatic and very picky about my sandwiches. I took the chance tonight and gave their Cheese steak special a shot. I have to say I was shocked! The fries came out golden brown and salted almost perfectly. The first bite of the cheese steak sandwich my eyes went wide open in disbelief and my mouth was in heaven!! I had honestly never had a cheese steak as fantastic as theirs was. Also even though it was Valentine's day and they were waiting out the door to get in the service was great!! I highly recommend you give Pellegrinos a shot if you've never ate there and ask for Jennifer if she's there and she'll definitely take good care of you!!

The food is great! we had a great time, I went with my husband and my kids. The whole staff is amazing. The owners are always in the dining room checking on the diners. If you love Italian food and pizza this is a must eat!

Great food and service at a reasonable price.

Used to dine here for lunch once a week and thought is was a pretty good place. Last few times here the service was extra slow. Today I could not even eat half my meal that I waited at my sticky table 30 minutes for. Chicken parm with pasta which I always order came out with the chicken already cut up and mixed in with the pasta. Never had it like that before. Also it was not fresh. For as long as I waited for it, I was expecting it to be piping hot, but instead it was definitely sitting under a heat lamp for a while. Pasta was dried up and chicken "chunks" were rubbery. The Staff at the restaurant are nice and friendly and they get the stars in this review.

The Best Pizza around. Had the manicotti and it was even better. Don't pass this place up if your around.

Dinner tonight was excellent!! The service was phenomenal. Our food came out hot and fresh. I highly recommend the giant meatball. It was divine! The tiramisu Board was perfect for our family of 4. It’s also a kid friendly restaurant which is always a plus when you have children under 13.

Traveling from SC to VA my son had one request, Pizza. He had just graduated from Army Basic Combat Training earlier that day. We could have stopped at any old pizza place and he would have been happy. But I always prefer local places. What a great find in Pellegrino's Trattoria. The restaurant was clean and inviting. The staff was welcoming and gracious. The food was fantastic. Thank you for taking care of a table of weary travelers like they were your best friends. Kudos to you.

Just ate here were from Michigan the best pizza I every had infact it was so good we ordered one to go the waitress so kind and very professional hope she there if we come this way again cant say a nuf about the place

We love Pellegrinos! My husband and I (along with others) have lunch here very often. Try the gnucci with chicken!! Yummy!!
